Ashley Hicks joined BD in 2016 as a Surgical Sales Consultant with BD out of the Houston, TX, responsible for promoting BD surgical instrumentation portfolio as well as their surgical instrument tracking software. Prior to her time at BD, she assumed the role as a Territory Manager for both Acelity and Kimberly-Clark Healthcare. Ashley served as a member of the National Sales Network’s Houston chapter in various leadership roles for 6 years. After participating in a fireside chat as a panelist on her experiences regarding social injustice personally and professionally for one BD’s leadership team, Ashley’s passion for Inclusion & Diversity was ignited and she began to look at how and where she could help. She took the initiative to get involved which led to her promotion as the Inclusion & Diversity Talent Acquisition Partnership Lead September of 2021.

She has been instrumental in the launch of not one, but two, employee resource groups for African Americans at BD as well as served as an influencer on the Surgery Inclusion & Diversity Council. Her membership on the council led to the execution of expanding BD’s reach into diverse partnerships in effort of providing more inclusive recruiting channels, like the National Sales Network. Ashley is a graduate of The University of Houston Bauer College of Business and will be celebrating 10 years of marriage to her husband, Anthony Hicks this July. She also enjoys being a dance mom to her 7 year old daughter Sidney, and soccer mom to her 4 year old son, Caleb.
