David is currently Senior Vice President, North America Region for Ultragenyx a leading biotechnology company focused on finding cures and breakthrough treatments for rare diseases including gene therapies, mRNA, and recombinant DNA biologic treatments. David is honored to lead an amazing team of commercial operations, marketing & sales, patient services, and market access professionals across the US and Canada. He joined Ultragenyx in 2016 to help transform the company from a small research & development organization to a fully commercialized global rare disease biotech. He has spent over 30 years in biopharmaceutical commercial operation roles with Genentech, Merck Serono and Ultragenyx working in San Francisco, Boston, and Geneva, Switzerland. David received his undergraduate degree from Eckerd College and his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
