Eddie Williams brings 3 decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to his current role as corporate vice president, biopharmaceuticals at Novo Nordisk, Inc.
In this capacity, he leads the sales and marketing, business development and new product commercialization functions for the company’s growing US biopharmaceuticals business, which develops medicines for people with hemophilia – a serious clotting disorder -- and various types of hormone deficiencies.
Mr. Williams combines a strong professional background in, and commitment to, training, developing, and supporting his team to its fullest performance potential with a passionate interest in biologics and how they can help people with diseases and conditions that may be treated with biological therapies.
Before joining Novo Nordisk, he was vice-president of the sales, respiratory & dermatology business unit at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. There, he was responsible for a 770-member team of respiratory and dermatology sales forces, managers, directors, and support staff, and he also served as executive sponsor for the company’s culture initiatives. Before Novartis, he worked was regional vice-president of sales at Pharmacia. At both companies, Mr. Williams earned corporate recognition and multiple awards on both US and global levels for his professional achievements.
He received degrees in biology & chemistry from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and Grambling State University in Grambling, LA.
