Founders Statement
I am
ecstatic to communicate that National Sales Network is still a very young
organization with a tremendous amount of potential for long term growth &
development. To further tap that potential we will focus our attention on
developing consistent chapter operations, new chapter start ups on the
west coast and delivering a high quality conference in which attendance
grows exponentially every year.
We are now in the process of
overhauling chapter activities to bring all chapters up to a consistent
operational level that will exceed the expectations of our membership and
corporate partners. Chapter activities must be consistent from chapter to
chapter and they must deliver on our mission statement as an organization.
Chapters have the awesome task of attracting new members to NSN and it is
clear that they can achieve this objective by developing and executing
consistent operations.
NSN for the most part is an
east coast and mid west based organization. Our five year strategic plan
calls for NSN to aggressively close this gap. With that said, we will
focus our attention on developing west coast chapters that will give NSN a
true national presence. In 2005 the first west coast chapter was started
in Los Angeles. Our goal is to start additional west coast chapters in
cities such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego and Seattle to
complete the west coast loop. Not to mention that we still have to start a
chapters in Denver, Kansas City, and St. Louis that would complement
existing chapters in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis.
The NSN conference started
as a one day conference in Somerset, New Jersey in 1996 and has since grow
to become a 3 day Conference & Career Fair attended by sales and sales
management professionals from all industries and all areas of the country.
Our future plans are to grow conference attendance exponentially. We will
achieve this objective by choosing the best conference locations,
developing the best conference agenda with expert speakers, partnering
with corporate sponsors that provide the best career offerings to our
membership and most importantly executing a strategic conference marketing
plan that reaches African-American sales and sales management
professionals across the country.
Lastly, we have relocated
our national headquarters to Atlanta with the sole purpose of elevating
the national office of NSN to a higher level. Atlanta offers a host of
available resources to assist NSN with achieving our long term objectives
and we intend to use those resources to bring NSN into prominence as the
first and only national organization to serve the African-American Sales
and Sales Management Professional.
