NSN
Charlotte was originally founded in 1999. It was a very strong chapter but
unfortunately dissolved when several key chapter leaders at that time
relocated to another state.
 I was initially a member of the NSN
Detroit Chapter until I relocated to
Charlotte in 2007. One of my
personals goals when I moved to Charlotte was to bring the chapter back to
the “Queen City.”
NSN provides opportunities for
professional development and career growth. By being a member you will
gain a wide knowledge base of expertise in various industries that will
afford you personal and professional advancement.
The original purpose of
the organization was and still is to enhance the skills of sales
management and sales professionals while providing a forum for networking
among peers.
The goals for the Charlotte chapter to
accomplish this year are:

To grow membership to a minimum of
50 members

Become the organization of choice
for Charlotte and surrounding areas African-American sales professionals
-
Enrich members team building skills
-
Encourage African-Americans to
pursue careers in sales
-
Provide a positive networking
experience at each “Success Experience” meeting, workshop and ultimately
the annual conference!
Again, it is with great pleasure that
I serve as a part of the National Sales Network family. I have a wonderful
leadership team that is working closely by side to make the Charlotte
Chapter a success. I’m excited about the upcoming year and the events that
we have planned for the chapter. Now all you have to do is: GET CONNECTED
TO THE NETWORK!

About NSN:
National Sales
Network is a 501-C-3 not-for-profit membership organization whose mission
is to meet the professional and developmental needs of African-American
sales and sales management professionals. Annual membership fees are
only $75.
National Sales Network was
founded by a group of African-American sales and sales management
professionals in Newark, New Jersey, June 1992. The original purpose of
the organization was and still is to enhance the skill development of
sales and sales management professionals while providing a forum for
networking within the profession. Several well-established Black
professional organizations served as examples of how instrumental an
organization of this magnitude could be in providing networking
opportunities for sales professionals.
Since then, the organization
has grown to twelve chapters nationwide. These chapters conduct seminars
on subjects such as:

Selling skills

Negotiating skills
-
Job search
-
Time management
-
Organization skills
-
Career management.
NSN is not an organization
based on socializing (although we have our share of fun!) --
our objective is to provide useful skills and experiences to help
African-Americans become better Professional Salespeople!

NSN is composed of sales
professionals and entrepreneurs from all industries. Sales management
professionals are well represented within the group with titles from
District Manager to Vice President of Sales. The organization also
conducts an annual National Conference in September of every year. NSN
currently has chapters in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los
Angeles, Charlotte, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Washington DC/Baltimore.
We have hit the ground running and the excitement is building.
